Privacy notice
OneDollarLookup is operated by Daystar Development LLC. This notice describes information used for accounts, paid phone lookups, support and privacy requests. Use the privacy center without an account or payment to submit and track a request.
Information processed
We use your email for account identification and one-time sign-in codes. Your stored email is encrypted, with a separate keyed index for account matching. We retain essential session records, terms acceptance, credit activity and payment references. PayPal processes checkout and payment details; we do not store card numbers, PayPal passwords, raw payment events or payer profiles.
When you search, the phone number is sent to our phone-network and licensed identity data sources. They receive the searched number, not your account email. Reports can contain associated names, addresses, possible email addresses, carrier, line type, caller-ID name, business/consumer indicators and network status when available. We discard coordinates, birth dates, source record identifiers and additional phone numbers. Possible emails are unverified associations; we do not send them messages.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website, database and security checks and may process connection/device information for delivery and abuse prevention. Resend delivers account and request-verification emails; its retained email content and logs are currently configured for up to 30 days. PayPal processes payments and confirms purchases, refunds and reversals. Licensed identity and phone-network processors provide lookup data. Each also handles information under its own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Retention
- Reports are encrypted, private to the purchasing account and expire after 24 hours. Scheduled maintenance removes expired reports.
- Codes expire in 10 minutes, allow at most five attempts and are replaced when a new code is requested. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity or 12 hours.
- Accounts without unspent paid credits expire after one year without successful sign-in. Accounts with unspent credits remain available. Lookup history follows the account lifetime.
- Minimal payment identifiers, amounts, credit entries and verification/refund outcomes are kept for seven years for accounting, dispute handling and fraud prevention. After account deletion, these records are not linked to an active email account. Report contents and card data are not part of these records.
- Verified support/privacy messages and responses are retained for up to 90 days. Provide only necessary information; do not send identity documents, passwords, card details or Social Security numbers.
- Security events are retained for seven days. Keyed rate-limit identifiers expire within two days. Opaque account deletion markers last one year in separate storage; verified phone suppression hashes persist to honor the opt-out.
- Account deletion removes the active email, reports and sessions immediately. Recovery copies and service logs have separate retention periods; restoration must replay deletion/suppression records before access resumes.
Cookies and choices
Essential Secure, HttpOnly cookies support sign-in and request protection. We do not add advertising or analytics trackers, sell account information or share account information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Global Privacy Control is respected by keeping those activities disabled.
Requests, correction and removal
Request access, correction, deletion, opt-out or appeal through the privacy center. Verify your email, retain the reference and check the response in the same browser or by signing in with that email. Email verification proves inbox control, not authority over somebody else's phone records. We may need further information to verify your relationship to a record. A verified suppression prevents future reports for the associated number on this service; it does not delete records held by independent data sources or other websites.
You can download account metadata in settings. Reports are not included in that export. For general help, payment problems, security issues or misuse reports, use support. Encryption and access controls reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
